Crosshall Junior School is continually updating and adding to its rich educational and community awards.

Following three consecutive awards from IQM for inclusion, in January 2020 we achieved Flagship School Status. This award acknowledges inclusive provision, ambition and leadership. CJS is the first in our region to hold such an honour.

In 2017, 2018 and again in 2019, the school was awarded IQM Centre of Excellence status. This status highlights our inclusive practice and our ability to meet the social, emotional and mental health needs of our pupils. We have now been asked to apply for Flagship Status. Crosshall Junior will be the only school in the east of England to receive this award.

Crosshall Junior School has achieved the Platinum School Games Mark award for commitment, engagement and delivery of competitive school sport.

In March 2024, the school was recognised as ‘Good’ by OFSTED

Artsmark Gold (10th year running) for more details see HERE

In 2025, the careers element of our Future Me curriculum has been awarded the Gold Award as part of Primary Futures Recognition Scheme. The award reflects not only the quality of our career-related learning, but also the passion and commitment the school has shown in inspiring pupils to think big about their futures. We shall continue to embed career-related learning throughout our school.

This prestigious accreditation for schools in the UK demonstrates a deep, embedded commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. It signifies that a school has moved beyond foundational practices to actively weaving inclusive policies through all aspects of school life.

This is an international accreditation recognising young people’s commitment to environmental action and sustainability.

The Young Carers in Schools (YCiS) Award is a national program in the UK that recognises schools for effectively identifying and supporting pupils who have caring responsibilities at home. It recognises our work to improve these students' attendance, wellbeing, and educational outcomes.
