Crosshall Junior School is continually updating and adding to its rich educational and community awards.
In December 2017, due to our excellent work regarding assessment practices, Crosshall Junior has been recognised as a Centre of Assessment Excellence.
As a result we have had worked published and been invited to speak at conferences. This year, we will act an assessment hub for this region and will work with national experts.
In 2017, the school was awarded IQM Centre of Excellence status. This status highlights our inclusive practice, and our ability to meet the social, emotional and mental health neeeds of our pupils.
The Inclusion Quality Mark was awarded at the end of 2015/2016 academic year. It recognises that CJS is a fully inclusive school (ensuring equality for all- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, Cultural, Ethnic and Racial Differences).
In July 2009, the school was recognised as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED Since 2007, we have worked in partnership with the DCSF Innovation Unit on an educational research project looking at Next Practice. As one of the 17 schools nationally involved in this project, we have worked with an educational consultant looking at how children learn best
