NAME: Pauline Maskell
TYPE: Support Staff Governor
I have been married for twenty one years and have two teenage daughters, both who have attended Crosshall Junior School in the past. One is now at University studying Law and the other is at Sixth Form doing A Levels.
I have worked for Crosshall Junior School for twelve years as a Teaching Assistant and during this time I have supported several children with various needs.
My biggest challenge was learning Braille to Grade II level in order to support two children with partial or no sight at all.
I decided to become a governor so that I could become a little bit more involved and perhaps have more say, in the day to day running of the school, not just my role in the classroom. I have been a governor for four years.
