Updated Recommendation - October 2021
If anyone in your household tests positive for COVID-19, we strongly recommend that all your children are taken for a PCR test and the results received, before they return to school.
Thank you for your support.
Informing the School of a Positive Result
When leaving a message about a positive case, please let us know:
If it's an LFT or PCR (email results to firstname.lastname@example.org)
Where you think it was contracted from (home, school, clubs)
If Free School Meal, whether you would like a packed lunch (which filling)
Home Learning During Isolation/Awaiting Results
Visit the Crosshall Digital Village pages of our website and go to My Child Is Isolating - you will see some packs with work on for your child.
If your child tests positive via a PCR test, email the office with the results (and the above information) and work will then be set on Google Classroom for your child.
COVID-19 - FROM SEPTEMBER 2021
As of September 2021, we have been advised to follow the attached flow chart.
Please click on this link to book a PCR test: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/
If your child has COVID-19 symptoms, please note that a lateral flow test is not currently advised for primary school students. Children should get a PCR test via the above link. If you are unsure of whether you need to have your child tested, please call 119 for further advice.
Once you have the results of your PCR test, negative or positive, please email it to email@example.com.
The government are asking whether children were symptomatic and where you think they may have contracted the virus. So if you could include this information in the email you send to school, we would appreciate it.
