The Crosshall Digital Village is what we call the collection of online resources that the children use whilst at Crosshall Junior School. It is a vehicle for our staff and student community to maintain relationships in a safe environment. Staff can communicate with the students about their online learning and our students can support each other with learning, chat with their teachers and maintain friendships with others.
These few webpages provide an outline of work, expectations and procedures of work.
Our staff and students use Google Classroom and within that environment can use links to all the other online resources that we have bought, such as Times Table Rock Stars. The Digital Village is only for Crosshall Junior students and staff to use but children may need initial support from parents to access. Please see the helpful guides we have produced.
Our teachers also hold virtual meetings and provide virtual drop in sessions for students.
These regular events provide support for students regarding their work but also maintains and promotes a positive class community ethos when working remotely, which is important to us.
Home Learning is set on a Thursday and due the following Tuesday. The tasks will be set on Google Classroom.
Generally these tasks will be: Times Tables Rockstars/MyMaths, spelling and reading. Students will only bring home reading books and spelling logs. Please encourage your child to access Google Classroom to complete the tasks every week.
2020 - 21: Next Academic Year
Home Learning will be done through the Crosshall Digital Village using a range of online tools.
At present, we hope that all our students will be back together as normal, but if not, we will continue to use the Village to communicate, set work, give feedback and maintain our vital community.
