Honours awards
Each half-term one child from each Class is chosen for this prestigious award for outstanding achievement, ranging from ‘working responsibly’ to ‘showing a kind and caring attitude to others’. The previous winners are listed in the school's newsletters.
End of Academic Year Honour Awards
The end of the academic year is a particularly exciting time for Honours Awards, as the school welcomes special visitors to present prestigious awards.


Alan Orr Outstanding Achievement Award
Mr Orr, an ex-parent and governor to the school, first presented this award to the school 15 years ago. Four Year 6 children are nominated and each receives a certificate of recognition.
Chris Hodge Young Writer’s Award
Mrs Hodge presented this award to the school on her retirement from Crosshall 9 years ago. Children in Years 3, 4 and 5 are eligible.
Constantine Sustained Effort Award
Lord Constantine, a local resident, initially presented this award to the school 9 years ago.
The Gary Yates Maths Prize and Sporting Achievement awards
When Mr Yates retired in December 1999, he presented these awards as part of his retirement gift. The trophies are exquisite wood carvings that were specially designed by Mr Yates.
The Cotterill Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts
This award has been awarded to children who have been dedicated to the areas of the curriculum that were most enjoyed by Claire and Olivia Cotterill when they were pupils here – English, drama, dance, art and music.
Sporting Colours
Sporting colours are awarded to pupils at the end of each academic year.
