Home Learning

At Crosshall, we encourage the role of parents as co-educators. Click here to view the home/school agreement that sets out our expectations and your role in home learning.

We firmly believe that extending the learning outside of the classroom is very important in cementing knowledge into everyday life. Reading with your children is encouraged and our reading scheme includes free choice of books for home reading. We also appreciate your comments in your child’s reading diary.

Throughout the school, pupils are set weekly English and Maths homework.  Individual targets for core subjects and personal/social development are set by the class teachers.

The literacy documents listed below were given out during Literacy Open Week. These will all be useful for providing your child with extra help when working at home:
